Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, granulated garlic, dry active yeast, baking soda, and kosher salt. The yeast is added for a subtle, yeasty flavor, not for rising the dough. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
-
Add the non-fat plain Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms, then knead it lightly on a floured surface until smooth.
-
Divide the dough into equal portions, each weighing about 2.25 oz (64g).
-
Roll each portion into a 10-inch rope, then tie each rope into a knot, tucking the ends underneath. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet.
-
In a small bowl, prepare the garlic herb butter by mixing the melted butter, crushed garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, and dried parsley.
-
Brush each knot with the garlic herb butter, then sprinkle with Maldon sea salt flakes.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown.
-
Serve hot with my Stuffed Pepper Soup or Turkey Meatballs for a delicious, comforting meal! Enjoy your flavorful, protein-packed garlic knots with a delightful yeasty flavor!
