Instructions

  1. Cut the raw chicken breast into 1-inch pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Prepare an egg wash by beating 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of water in a shallow dish.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, combine the flour, non-fat milk powder, powdered sugar, paprika, granulated garlic, ground black pepper, MSG (or 1 teaspoon kosher salt if omitting MSG), and salt to create the flour mixture. Whisk to combine.
  4. Dip each chicken piece into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Transfer the coated chicken pieces to the flour mixture and coat them evenly.
  6. Place the coated chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You will likely need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Spray the chicken with avocado oil spray.
  8. Air fry at 350°F for 7-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The chicken should be golden and cooked through—165F internal temperature.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy, protein-packed chicken chunks in a salad with my Healthy Ranch Dressing, wrap, or with my Air Fryer Potato Wedges.
